My name is Frieke Hoffmann. I am a visual storyteller based in Berlin, creating art with curiosity to shine light on the poetry of ordinary things.

With the background as a theater plaster and interest in sociology, I work with pattern recognition and multiple mediums to study my perspective on life. It is a form of communicating between the foreign and the known. Therefore, I find myself somewhere between the contrasts and simultaneity of life.

Symbolism and poetry are recurring themes in my art. This takes a big part of why viewers find themselves and their own specific perception in my work. Naturalism, even in the surreal and abstract, is what creates dreamlike visuals and a feeling of timelessness.
